The Treasury Division of Finance is the custodian of all public money of the City and of all other public money coming into the City. All money received by any officer or employee of the City for or in connection with the business of the City shall be turned over promptly to the Treasury Division of Finance and shall be deposited with such responsible banking institutions located within the State of Connecticut or other depositories pursuant to Connecticut General Statutes.
The Treasury Division of Finance is responsible for the disbursement of all public money as well as the investment of all funds of the City including funds of the Board of Education.
