RECORDS SECTION

The New London Police Department Records Section is responsible for keeping all police records and disseminating police reports to the public.  The section also compiles Uniform Crime Reporting (UCR) and National Incident-Based Reporting System (NIBRS) statistics for submission to the State.

OBTAINING A POLICE REPORT 

You may obtain a police report in person at Police Headquarters (directions here).  The cost for the report is 50¢ per page.

• You may also submit a written request for a report by U.S. mail.  The written request must contain:
• Date of incident
  Time of incident
  Location of incident
  Parties involved
  Incident report number (if known)
  Investigating Officer (if known)
  Daytime phone number

• Written requests must also be accompanied by a check or money order for $5.00 payable to the City of New London and a self-addressed stamped envelope.  Mail requests to the address above.
