COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT/HOUSING AND NEIGHBORHOOD PRESERVATION

The Community Development Division provides planning and analysis, budgeting, grant writing, program development, census and demographic information and analysis, and other administrative, technical and supervisory services for the Fair Housing, Housing Conservation and Neighborhood Preservation programs.

The division ensures supervision, coordination, direction and regulatory compliance of the City's Community Development Block Grant program as well as oversight of the Lead Hazard Reduction Program.

The Community Development Division covers a broad spectrum of activities including, but not limited to, neighborhood preservation and development, human services, housing rehabilitation public facilities and improvements, and citizen participation. This Division also provides staff assistance to the City Manager,
Citizens Advisory Committee and the Historic District Commission, and other boards, commissions as may be assigned from time to time.
